Introducing Jetco
Founded in 1976, Jetco has grown from a small operation to a diversified fleet, including straight trucks, tractor-trailers, vans, flatbeds, heavy haul and containers. Jetco continues to be a leader in the Gulf Coast shipping industry.
The challenge
As Jetco expanded its operations and fleet size, the company needed a flexible solution to manage various forms and checklists across different aspects of their business. They required a platform that could:

The solution
Jetco already used Geotab for GPS and telematics, but they turned to the Whip Around platform’s powerful inspections tool to address these other challenges.
As Jeff McKinney, Vice President of Enterprise Safety, explains: “Geotab is the main platform, then we access Whip Around from inside Geotab. So when we need the inspection forms, we don’t have to go outside of that app — you can just slide it and find the form you need.”
Customizable forms: Jetco makes excellent use of Whip Around’s customizable forms, and not just for inspections — they build out accident report forms, refrigerated trailer check forms and even driving training evaluation forms.
“Our trainers use them for job evaluation so we have people that come out of orientation,” McKinney said. “They’ll use those to evaluate the trainees daily using forms created as a checklist.”
According to McKinney, the mandatory photo feature has been crucial for ensuring accountability, especially for refrigerated loads and oversized shipments.
“We handle some extremely hazardous chemicals,” McKinney said. “To comply with DEA regulations, we have a permit and a comprehensive checklist in Whip Around, which includes mandatory photos.”
